This natural red wine is a pure varietal expression of carignan produced by Dido and Jurriaan at Vinyes Tortuga. The fruit is organically farmed on the rugged slate slopes of the Alt Empordà region in Catalonia, Spain. The winemaking team follows a strict hands-off philosophy, using spontaneous fermentation driven by native wild yeasts in neutral tanks. It undergoes a natural maturation process and is bottled unfiltered, unfined, and with zero added sulfur to protect its character.

Presenting with a slight haze and a luminous ruby color, it opens with high-toned aromas of tart wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, and blood orange zest. On the palate, the light-bodied frame is exceptionally fresh and juicy, delivering an effortless, low-extraction fruit presentation. Soft, integrated tannins provide an understated structural grip across the fluid core. A clean current of slate acidity runs through the center, maintaining great freshness.

Dido & Jurriaan Morsink, a couple who moved from Amsterdam are making great wines which start in the vineyard. Vines are farmed organically, without synthetic chemicals or pesticides.
