This red wine is Amrita, a pinot noir from Rajat Parr and Sashi Moorman's Sandhi label, sourced from the Arroyo Grande Valley rather than the Sta. Rita Hills fruit Sandhi is best known for. Parr, a sommelier turned winemaker, and Moorman built Sandhi on purchased fruit, distinct from Domaine de la Côte, the vineyard the pair own and farm outright.

It displays a translucent ruby color, opening with red cherry, dried herb, and a faint floral lift. On the palate, the medium-bodied frame balances bright red fruit against fine, well-integrated tannin. Acidity stays lifted and keeps the wine precise rather than soft. A light earthy undertone runs beneath the fruit. It finishes long and clean, showing the same restraint Parr and Moorman bring to their own estate fruit.
