This organic red wine is an estate bottling sourced entirely from old, goblet-trained bush vines planted as far back as 1918. Telmo Rodríguez manages the steep Rioja Alavesa terraces under strict organic guidelines certified by the Basque Agricultural Regulatory Council. The low-yielding tempranillo, garnacha, and graciano grapes undergo a traditional, low-intervention native fermentation with wild vineyard yeasts in neutral open tuns. It undergoes a prolonged maturation process in large neutral oak casks before being bottled entirely unfiltered.

It shows a deep ruby color with garnet reflections, opening with expressive aromas of dried black cherry, leather, plum compote, and woodsmoke. A medium-to-full body pairs concentrated dark fruit flavors with a firm, integrated tannin profile. Savory notes of forest floor, wild herbs, and sweet tobacco leaf blend smoothly into the fruit core. A clean thread of natural acidity runs underneath, keeping the fluid mouthfeel refreshed. It finishes completely dry and long.
