Michel Gay et Fils Aloxe-Corton Vieilles Vignes 2018

Michel Gay et Fils is a family domaine in Chorey-les-Beaune, now led by Sebastien and Laurent Gay, the fourth generation of the family. The estate farms around Chorey and neighboring villages including Savigny-les-Beaune, Aloxe-Corton, Beaune and Corton, with Pinot Noir at the center of its identity. Sebastien modernized the work after joining in 2000, while Laurent brought enological precision when he returned in 2010. The wines have gained in finesse, with gentler extraction, careful oak and a focus on clean fruit, supple tannins and a clear reading of the often overlooked terroirs just outside Beaune.
