Maison Gautheron d'Anost Savigny-les-Beaune Les Goudelettes 2023
Maison Gautheron d'AnostGrape: Pinot Noir
Vintage: 2023
Type: Red
This low-intervention pinot noir is sourced from a tiny zero-point-two-five hectare parcel of old vines within the Les Goudelettes vineyard. Winemaker Bastien Gautheron manages this unique plot on an elevated plateau characterized by a windy north-east aspect that keeps the fruit healthy. The grapes, harvested from vines planted in 1969, undergo a spontaneous native fermentation with vineyard wild yeasts in neutral open tanks. It matures in seasoned oak barrels to build natural structural harmony.
It displays a clear ruby color, releasing elegant aromas of bramble, creamy strawberry, and wild red berries. On the palate, the medium-bodied frame is juicy and precise, balancing crunchy fruit notes with a racy line of natural acidity. Supple, well-integrated tannins provide a smooth texture that frames mid-palate cleanly. A lovely wave of maritime salinity runs through the back end, keeping the profile fresh and light. It finishes completely dry, leaving a persistent trace of stone.
