Littorai The Return Pinot Noir 2019

This red wine comes from The Return, 3 blocks at the far southwest of the property Littorai bought from Rich Savoy in 2016, the same hillside that holds One Acre. The blocks share a westerly exposure and climb from 1,550 to 1,750 feet in a single straight pitch, the steepest ground Littorai farms. Replanted in 2005 to Dijon 114, 777, 828, and Swann, the vines grow in Bearwallow loam over marine sandstone. Ted Lemon looked across at this slope from One Acre for years before bottling it on its own.
