This red wine comes from Savoy Vineyard in Anderson Valley, one of Littorai's longtime grower partnerships in the appellation. Ted Lemon farms the site organically and biodynamically and ferments on native yeast, with minimal sulfur and no fining or filtration before bottling. Anderson Valley's cooler, fog-influenced climate gives the wine a different register than Littorai's Sonoma Coast bottlings from the same vintage.

It displays a translucent ruby color, opening with red cherry, dried herb, and a faint floral lift. On the palate, the medium-bodied frame balances bright red fruit against fine, integrated tannin. Acidity is lifted and keeps the wine precise through the middle. A light earthy undertone runs beneath the fruit. It finishes long and clean, built to age well over the coming decade.

Savoy is the only valley-floor vineyard Littorai works with anywhere. Their rows sit at the toe of the slope on the northeastern side of Anderson Valley, on Pinole and Boont loams over Franciscan shale, following the old-world idea that the best parcels lie at the base of a slope. Planted between 1991 and 1993, the site is protected on two sides and traps more warmth than its neighbours; Littorai has been its longest continuous purchaser since 1995.
