This red wine comes from Platt Vineyard, a hillside planting on the far western Sonoma Coast about 5 miles from the Pacific, at 400 to 800 feet. It shares very similar soils, exposure, and plant material with Littorai's own Pivot vineyard, yet the 2 wines diverge, the Pivot always the more savory and earthy. Platt is the brighter, red-fruited side of that pairing.
