Littorai One Acre Pinot Noir 2022

This red wine comes from One Acre, a hilltop vineyard at 1,600 feet in the mountains northeast of Boonville and, in 1993, the first vineyard-designated pinot noir Littorai ever made. For years the fruit was bought on a by-the-acre contract, the first of its kind in California, until Littorai bought the property from Rich Savoy in 2016. The vines, replanted in 2005 after phylloxera, grow in Bearwallow loam over marine sandstone and take the full force of the northwest winds. It is the richest and most layered of Littorai's Anderson Valley sites.
