This Artuke 2021 carbonic maceration Tempranillo has floral and red berry aromas. Produced with grapes from the village of Baños de Ebro, has 5% white Viura. At 13.5% alcohol the velvety texture and invisible tannins make this as easy drinking as Rioja gets. 

Aus dem Kalk literally means from the chalk. The Blaufrankisch grapes come from three different vineyards planted in limestone soils from the flatter parts of the hills near the town of Rust. The weathered limestone is interspersed with layers of loam in the surface-soil and gives the wine it's undisputed mineral qualities and high-toned aromatics. Native yeast, 20% whole cluster fermentation and 20% carbonic maceration add additional layers of fruit and heady aromatics. 18 months in large old Austrian casks.
