Iconic Producers Wine Club

WTF! type of wine. If you want to impress people in the know, join this! However, we are not into impressing. We are interested in the introspective qualities wine allows. These wines are special, they are wines of authorship, of intention. These are wines to be shared, intimately. Wines of meditation, as Alejandro would say “enjoyed in the company of oneself”

These winemaker-defined wines are precious and few. This is our smallest club, just a handful of bottles.

Weingut Moric Kirchberg Lutzmannsburg 2020: The 2020 Weingut Moric Lutzmannsburg Ried Kirchberg is a masterpiece in elegance and mineral precision, showcasing the distinct "Burgundian" style that has made Roland Velich famous. On the nose, it offers a sophisticated profile of wild dark cherries and blueberries intertwined with savory notes of dried thyme, crushed stone, and a delicate floral lift of violets. The palate is characterized by an athletic, medium-bodied structure, with vibrant acidity and fine-grained, chalky tannins providing a firm backbone for the pure, juicy fruit. As it develops in the glass, a characteristic saltiness emerges, leading into a long, focused finish that feels both powerful and incredibly fresh. It is a crystalline expression of Blaufränkisch that rewards patience and aeration, balancing cool-climate tension with the deep complexity of Lutzmannsburg’s limestone-heavy soils.

Pian dell'Orino Vigneti del versante Brunello di Montalcino 2019: Pian dell'Orino was one of the first estates in Montalcino to be certified biodynamic, and it's located in the southeastern zone of Montalcino, Castelnuovo dell'Abate, right next to Biondi-Santi. Nuances of dusty florals, rosemary, sage, clove and leather give way to dried strawberry aromas as the radiant 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Vigneti del Versante blossoms in the glass. It's silky-smooth and deep, displaying extraordinary elegance. Soothingly soft textures, ripe red and blue fruit notes and a kick of vibrant acidity provide fantastic energy. Sweet, crunchy tannins steadily build toward the violet-tinged finale, tapering off with hints of blood orange and spice.
