Sourced from estate-owned vineyards in the Wiltingen and Oberemmel valleys of the cool Saar, in the Mosel region, this regional bottling serves as the benchmark introduction to the Egon Müller estate. Grown on steep, south-facing grey slate slopes, the hand-harvested Riesling is gently pressed and fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in traditional 1,000-liter neutral oak casks (fuder). The fermentation stops naturally, leaving a delicate, low-alcohol balance between residual sugar and piercing Saar acidity. Bottled with minimal intervention, this legendary cool-climate white is defined by weightless precision, floral lift, and intense slate minerality.

A pale straw-yellow hue with green reflections opens to vibrant, high-toned aromas of white peach, lime blossom, crushed slate, and lemongrass. On the palate, the wine balances delicate fruit sweetness—flavors of green apple, tart apricot, and grapefruit zest—with a razor-sharp, driving beam of natural acidity. The mouthfeel is weightless and electric, offering immense vertical tension that prevents the mid-palate from ever feeling cloying. It finishes long, pristine, and mouthwatering, leaving lingering notes of salt-cured citrus, white flowers, and damp stone.

Philipp Brundlmayer is part of the new generation in Austria, connected to one of the country's most respected wine families while building a voice of his own. Working in the Kamptal and surrounding areas, he focuses on cool-climate Austrian varieties such as Gruner Veltliner and Riesling, with an eye toward precise farming, clean fruit and restrained cellar choices. The wines carry the clarity expected from the region: peppery citrus, stone fruit, mineral tension and a gentle herbal edge. Rather than pushing for grandeur, the style emphasizes drinkability, detail and the everyday beauty of Austrian white wine when handled carefully.
