This old-vine bottling comes from select ancient parcels within the walled Clos vineyard at the estate in Fleurie. Winemaker Jean-Louis Dutraive utilizes certified organic viticulture on pink granite soils to cultivate fruit with natural structural harmony. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented spontaneously with wild yeasts using whole clusters, avoiding commercial modifications or heavy extraction techniques. It ages entirely in neutral French oak barrels to allow the unique soil signature to show through clearly.

It shows a deep ruby color, releasing refined aromas of ripe dark cherry, wild raspberry, and savory cracked pepper. On the palate, a medium-bodied frame balances ripe red fruit flavors with an underlying earthy complexity. A bright, natural acidity drives the wine, ensuring freshness and drinkability even in its youth. Fine-grained, chalky tannins provide a smooth structural grip that coordinates nicely with the fruit. It finishes clean, dry, and persistent, leaving a lingering trail of stone.
