Domaine de Vaccelli is located in Cognocoli-Monticchi , Corsica . The family estate was purchased in the 1960s by the Courrèges family, after Algerian independence. Its owner, Gérard Courrèges (son of Alain Courrèges), has been producing wines under the AOC Ajaccio, Vin de Pays de l'Île de Beauté and Vin de France appellations since the 1970s. Today, the vineyard covers 27 hectares, planted with numerous grape varieties, a large proportion of which are indigenous grape varieties . The vineyard has been managed using certified organic farming methods since 2019.

The Vaccelli Rouge plot is a selection of 25+ year old vines of Sciaccarellu with an average yield of 44 hl/ha. All grapes are harvested by hand, and a blend of two parcels, one exposed East-West, the other one North-South. 

Containing notes of kirsch, plum, black currant, sweet spices. It has a crisp, aromatic, fresh and airy mouthfeel. Long finish enhanced by a lovely acidity.
