This skin-contact orange wine is an artisanal field blend combining chenin blanc, melon de bourgogne, aligoté, auxerrois, and pinot blanc. Sourced from organically managed vineyards in Burgundy. The winemaking involves a three-month skin maceration inside clay amphorae, relying entirely on native wild yeasts for spontaneous fermentation. Matured for an additional ten months in clay before an unfiltered bottling, it delivers an authentic, texturally driven identity.
It pours a hazy amber-gold color, releasing distinctive aromas of dried apricot, orange peel, and fresh mountain wildflowers. On the palate, a medium-bodied frame pairs dried stone fruit flavors with a gentle, tea-like tannin structure. A fine phenolic grip frames the mid-palate cleanly, balanced by a sharp beam of mineral acidity. Subtle notes of raw hazelnut and wild thyme add depth across the textured mouthfeel. It finishes bone-dry, leaving a lingering trace of salinity.
