CURRENT RELEASE

Anima Mundi Xarello 2020: Captivating white wine produced in the Penedès region of Spain. Crafted by the talented winemaker Agustí Torello Roca, this wine showcases the unique character of the Xarel-lo grape. Known for its crisp acidity and mineral notes, Anima Mundi Xarel-lo offers a refreshing and complex taste profile. With a focus on organic farming and minimal intervention winemaking, this wine embodies the essence of the terroir. Expect a palate bursting with citrus flavors, a hint of salinity, and a long, satisfying finish. Anima Mundi Xarel-lo is a true gem for lovers of natural and terroir-driven wines.

Amorotti Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo 2021: Winemaker Gaetano Carboni’s organic family farm is set against the backdrop of the Gran Sasso Mountains near the Adriatic. Neighbors with Trebbiano legends Valentini, who helped them to begin making their own wine,  having previously sold their grapes.  The estate is 50 hectares composed of mainly woodland and pastures where of those 50 hectares only 5 are dedicated to vines. Following the guidance of neighbor and historic wine-maker Francesco Valentini, Gaetano began planting in the early 2000s and converting the estate to follow all organic and natural practices. Geatano sold his grapes to outer sources for years until 2016 where he sold his first commercially produced wine Tebbiano d'Abruzzo. With only a few years of producing commercially, the Amorotti winery is making waves, producing wines that go against the conventional but also still giving its nod to legends like Valentini and Emido Pepe. Not quite the rosé we casually bring to the beach — this is more of a show-off rosé. Rosy on the nose, this wine is fragrant with strawberry aromas, followed by a palate of tart raspberry, blood orange, and a touch of salinity. A fierce rosé with an orange-tinged color that you might not expect. Just delicious.

Arianna Occhipinti Sicagno Nero d'Avola 2020:

Arianna Occhipinti is a young woman of fierce perspective and drive. Her uncle is Giusto Occhipinti of the Sicilian COS winery. At age sixteen, Arianna was invited by Giusto to help out at the Vinitaly International Wine Exhibit. In four days, she knew she wanted to study wine at university. Ironically, the university did not help with her professional career, as everything she had learned was from her uncle. Undeterred, she began fresh with just one acre of abandoned vines and grew. Her focus then became Frappatto and Nero D’avola, grown naturally and biodynamically. Not to be overshadowed by her uncle, Arianna has grown into her own person as a winemaker and received international acclaim as a young woman in the industry.

The bottle’s name is Siccagno, referring to both the vineyard name and local dialect for “good wine.” This is a special bottle of Nero d’Avola coming from older vines. The wine undergoes a longer maceration period than her other wines and then spends two years in large oak barrels.
