Cartauyx Bougaud Cotes du Jura Pinot Noir 2022
Cartaux-BougaudGrape: Pinot Noir
Vintage: 2022
Type: Red
Amazing value from Jura and under $30 bucks, it's a steal. Supple, juicy and savory, this wine is deep in color and has a bit of structure, with a ton of red fruits, raspberries, cherries, some spices. Elegant Pinot Noir. Review by Marcelo
Since the family's first harvest in 1973, they have grown into a 20-hectare estate, now run by Sébastien Cartaux and his wife, Sandrine. The winery is known for its traditional and organic winemaking, showcasing the unique character of the Jura region. The Cartaux-Bougaud tradition started with Anne-Marie Bougaud and Guy Cartaux, who committed to winemaking in the 1980s and acquired the historic Château de Quintigny. The second generation took over in 1993, modernizing the business while upholding tradition. The estate was certified organic in 2022, following decades of practicing sustainable viticulture.
