The Tissot Vin Jaune "En Spois" 2017 presents a concentrated and finely-oxidized expression of Savagnin. On the nose, it offers a complex and savory bouquet with notes of roasted nuts, dried apricots, and subtle smoky, iodine, and peat characteristics. The palate is powerful and dry, showcasing a remarkable saline and mineral depth from its Trias clay soils, leading to a long, invigorating finish with a persistent, lemony crispness. This is a distinctive and energetic Vin Jaune that drinks well now but possesses a structure for extended cellaring.

Stéphane Tissot and his wife Bénédicte have 35 hectares of vineyards “cultivated in bio-dynamic viticulture (certified by Demeter) to allow the soils to live, to have grapes untouched by chemical products, to allow natural yeast fermentations, to reduce the doses of sulfur in the cellar.”

They produce truly unique, terroir-driven natural wines, wines we love, admire, and cherish. These are without doubt some of our most prized wines.

André and Mireille Tissot founded their estate in 1962, in the village of Montigny-les-Arsures, in the Jura. Stéphane took over from his father with a new vision and converted it to chemical-free farming, organic and then biodynamic. They are meticulous in their farming and in the cellar, producing up to 28 unique cuvees.

A wine made with love and passion produces an emotion...
You can find in a wine the personality and the character of those who made it because each gesture, each operation, each decision has its importance.
