The Tissot Chardonnay En Sursis 2022 is a vibrant and elegant expression of Jura Chardonnay, from one of Jura’s most exciting plots, this ouillé style (topped-up barrels) avoids oxidation and delivers dazzling citrus, cool minerality, and immense energy. On the nose, it offers delicate floral notes, citrus, and white fruit, complemented by a subtle mineral character. The palate is fresh and well-balanced, with a crisp acidity that provides energy and a clean, persistent finish. This wine showcases a beautiful purity of fruit, with a refined texture and an underlying minerality that speaks to its Jura terroir.
Stéphane Tissot and his wife Bénédicte have 35 hectares of vineyards “cultivated in bio-dynamic viticulture (certified by Demeter) to allow the soils to live, to have grapes untouched by chemical products, to allow natural yeast fermentations, to reduce the doses of sulfur in the cellar.”

André and Mireille Tissot founded their estate in 1962, in the village of Montigny-les-Arsures, in the Jura. Stéphane took over from his father with a new vision and converted it to chemical-free farming, organic and then biodynamic. They are meticulous in their farming and in the cellar, producing up to 28 unique cuvees.
