Grape: Rotburger, Sankt Laurent, Blauburger
Vintage: 2024
Type: Rosé

This organic dry rosé is a traditional Austrian blend combining ninety percent rotburger with small portions of sankt laurent and blauburger. Philipp Brundlmayer handles the hand-picked fruit from extreme, steep terraces in the Kremstal where tractors cannot operate. The winemaking utilizes a low-intervention approach, featuring a direct press and a spontaneous native yeast fermentation inside stainless steel tanks. It matures on its fine lees and is bottled entirely unfined to safeguard its regional freshness.

It radiates a pale pink hue, releasing focused aromatics of fresh strawberry, red currant, and field flowers. On the palate, the light-bodied frame is exceptionally juicy and crisp, focusing on an energetic fruit presentation. Soft, delicate textures provide a subtle structural grip that coordinates nicely with a clean wave of natural acidity. The mouthfeel remains quaffable and light on its feet, avoiding any heavy components. It finishes completely dry, leaving a savory trace of loess minerality.

Philipp Brundlmayer is part of the new generation in Austria, connected to one of the country's most respected wine families while building a voice of his own. Working in the Kamptal and surrounding areas, he focuses on cool-climate Austrian varieties such as Gruner Veltliner and Riesling, with an eye toward precise farming, clean fruit and restrained cellar choices. The wines carry the clarity expected from the region: peppery citrus, stone fruit, mineral tension and a gentle herbal edge. Rather than pushing for grandeur, the style emphasizes drinkability, detail and the everyday beauty of Austrian white wine when handled carefully.
