Bodega Los Bermejos Malvasia Naturlamente Dulce NV

Bodega Los Bermejos is a winery on the volcanic island of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, known for its unique, "heroic" viticulture. Founded in 2001, the estate specializes in producing high-quality wines from indigenous grapes in a challenging, lunar-like landscape of black volcanic ash. Following an 18th-century volcanic eruption that covered the island in ash, vines are planted in individual, hand-dug craters called hoyos. The porous volcanic soil and low rainfall create a challenging but nutrient-rich environment for the vines, resulting in very low yields and highly concentrated fruit.
