Jean-Yves Peron Casa Rossa 2022
LESS IS MORE WINES$55.00
Grape: Grignolino, Freisa, Barbera
Vintage: 2022
Type: Rose
The grapes that make up Casa Rossa are harvested in Casale Monferrato, Piedmont. Grignolino and Freisa are pressed directly, while Barbera undergoes carbonic maceration. The three grape varieties are blended before being aged for a year in 300-liter casks. This is followed by a year in bottle. Casa Rossa falls somewhere between a rosé and a red. Barbera adds bright acidity, Grignolino and Freisa leds a vinous quality that makes Casa Rossa an all-seasons wine. Tangy and aromatic, with notes of strawberry, redcurrant, and pomegranate.
