This low-intervention red wine is a pure varietal bottling of tinta pinheira, a native Portuguese variety also known locally as Rufete. Dominio do Açor manages the vineyards on the ancient granitic soils of the Dão region using sustainable, hands-off viticulture methods. Spontaneous fermentation occurs with indigenous wild yeasts in small open-top vats, prioritizing light extraction to highlight structural freshness over dark color. It matures in neutral vessels to preserve a look at the site's high-altitude microclimate.

It radiates a bright ruby color, releasing high-toned aromas of fresh cherry, red plum, and wild mountain herbs. On the palate, the light-bodied frame is fluid and energetic, focusing on a fruit presentation reminiscent of a cool-climate style. Fine, silky tannins provide a structural grip that coordinates nicely with the red fruit. A clean wave of mountain acidity runs through mid-palate, keeping the mouthfeel thoroughly refreshed. It finishes bone-dry, leaving a light mineral trace.
