This single-vineyard red wine comes from the Vinha Celta parcel in the granitic slopes of Portugal's Dão region. Dominio do Açor sources the fruit from thirty-four-year-old jaen vines, a variety identical to the Spanish mencía cultivated under sustainable viticulture. The hand-picked grapes undergo a spontaneous native fermentation driven by wild vineyard yeasts inside neutral open vats. It ages in seasoned French oak barrels to integrate its structural elements while completely avoiding heavy wood flavor dominance or filtration.

It pours a deep ruby-purple color, opening with expressive aromatics of blue fruit, fresh spice, and crushed granite. A medium-bodied frame balances power with ethereal freshness, delivering a silky, succulent mouthfeel. Savory notes of forest floor and wild thyme add a deep complexity without feeling heavy or extracted. An electric wave of natural acidity cuts right through the center, keeping the wine lively. It finishes dry and persistent, leaving a clean mineral trail.
