This limited white wine comes from fifty-year-old bical vines within the single vineyard parcel called Vinha Celta in the Dão region. Dominio do Açor manages this ancient plot organically on sandy granite soils, yielding only six-hundred and seventy-seven bottles. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented spontaneously with native wild yeasts, incorporating a lengthy maturation period on its noble lees. The winemaking utilizes old French oak barrels to build natural structural harmony while introducing a whiff of wood.

It displays a lemon hue, releasing a savory nose of fresh orchard fruit, wet granite, and creamy lees. On the palate, the medium-bodied frame is concentrated and tense, showing a fabulous balance between unctuousness and a sharp mineral baseline. A vertical wave of electric acidity cuts directly through the textured mouthfeel, keeping the profile fluid and racy. Subtle notes of exotic wood develop nicely as the liquid opens up.
