A partnership between British winemaker Paul Jenkins and French winemaker Paul Gillon, this wine is farmed biodynamically within a literal meteorite impact crater formed over 10,000 years ago. The shattered schist soil, unique to this 200-meter-wide crater, has a unique magnetic signature and imparts a profound smoky minerality to this Syrah-dominant blend. The vines are surrounded by wild Mediterranean brush, known as "Garrigue." Expect a wild, herbal profile featuring notes of rosemary, thyme, and lavender, underpinned by a dark, stony character that is unique to this celestial terroir.

Domaine du Météore is a certified organic and biodynamic winery uniquely built around a confirmed meteorite crater. Its vineyards span the famous Faugères and Saint-Chinian appellations, where vines are rooted in mineral-rich schist soil that gives the wines their distinctive character. The estate produces a range of red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines with an ethos of minimal intervention, letting the unique terroir shine through in each bottle. The vineyards are planted on rare schist soils, with blue schist in the Faugères appellation and yellow schist in Saint-Chinian. These soils impart distinct minerality and character to the wines. The winemaking process focuses on low-intervention, organic, and biodynamic methods to best express the unique terroir.
