Grape: Pinot Noir
Vintage: 2023
Type: Red

This elegant red Burgundy wine is a pure pinot noir produced by Théo Dancer from a newer estate plot. The fruit originates from the Pommard lieu-dit La Taupe, a site situated directly adjacent to the domaine's premier cru Perrières vineyard. The hand-picked grapes are fully destemmed and undergo an exceptionally gentle extraction process driven entirely by native wild yeasts. It matures for twelve months in seasoned French oak barrels to allow the structure to settle naturally.

It displays a clear, translucent ruby color, releasing clean aromatics of wild strawberry, red cherry, and field flowers. On the palate, the medium-bodied frame is pure, pretty, and precise, focusing on a bright and juicy fruit presentation. Fine-grained, soft tannins provide an understated structural grip across the mid-palate volume without introducing heavy extraction tones. A clean thread of alpine acidity runs through the center, keeping the texture completely refreshed. It finishes dry and persistent.

Vincent Dancer is one of the cult names of Chassagne-Montrachet, admired for white Burgundies that feel pure, unforced and intensely connected to limestone. Originally from Alsace, Dancer took over family vineyards in Chassagne, Meursault, Puligny and other Cote de Beaune villages, choosing organic farming and a cellar style that avoids unnecessary intervention. The wines are fermented with native yeasts, raised with restraint and bottled with a sense of quiet confidence. They are not flashy; they are luminous, textural and precise, showing Chardonnay as a conductor of site rather than a vehicle for oak or richness.
