This white wine is Christian Tschida's bottling for Brutal, the shared label used by a circle of natural winemakers for their experimental cuvées. It is a Gemischter Satz, a field blend of several white grapes grown together, from Tschida's vineyards in Illmitz on the eastern shore of Lake Neusiedl. It ferments on its own yeasts and is bottled unfiltered with no added sulfur. Each Brutal release is a one-off, so every vintage is different.

It pours a hazy golden yellow, opening with ripe pear, quince, and wildflowers. On the palate, the medium-bodied frame balances orchard fruit with a light, phenolic grip. Dried herbs and a salty, lees-driven note sit underneath. A vein of bright acidity keeps it energetic. It finishes dry, textured, and savory.
