This rosé wine is 100% syrah from organic vines on limestone at Purbach, on the Leithaberg slopes above Lake Neusiedl in Burgenland. It is the same fruit Christian Tschida normally uses for his Felsen red, pressed immediately instead and fermented on its own yeasts. It is bottled unfiltered and with no added sulfur. It comes only in magnum, which keeps the wine fresh and lets it age gracefully.

It pours a deep, glowing rose-ruby, opening with wild cherry, blood orange, and cracked pepper. On the palate, the light-to-medium-bodied frame balances juicy red fruit with a savory, spicy edge. Dried herbs and a chalky mineral note sit underneath. Fresh, lively acidity keeps it bright. It finishes dry, crunchy, and long.
