Giulia Negri La Tartufaia Barolo 2020

Giulia Negri, also known as the "Barolo Girl," is a respected winemaker in the Piedmont region of Italy. Her wines, known for their elegance and delicate expression of terroir, come from the high-altitude Serradenari cru in La Morra, the highest vineyard in the Barolo zone. Negri employs traditional techniques, including long, gentle macerations and spontaneous fermentations. She embraces sustainable and natural farming, using indigenous yeasts and minimizing filtration and other additives. Negri has moved away from smaller barrels toward larger oak casks (botti grandi), believing they are key to preserving the tension and character of the Nebbiolo grape.
