This red wine comes from an estate parcel of barbera planted in 1992 on clay, limestone, and chalk outcroppings. The Cascina Baricchi estate utilizes manual harvesting followed by full destemming and a traditional fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The fruit undergoes a ten-day skin maceration, relying on native wild yeasts for a gentle extraction. Aged in large neutral oak barrels before a year of bottle settling, this bottling presents an authentic regional identity.

It pours a dark ruby color, opening with clear aromatics of fresh blackberry, sour cherry, and wild lavender. A medium-bodied frame balances a juicy, fleshy fruit presentation with a firm tannin structure. A sharp, central thread of natural acidity cuts directly through the volume, keeping the profile lively. Subtle notes of ground pepper and potting soil develop as the wine sits in the glass.
