The Paltrinieri Solco Lambrusco dell'Emilia IGT 2024 is a vibrant, semi-dry *frizzante* crafted from 100% Lambrusco Salamino, displaying a deep purple-ruby hue and a fine, persistent perlage. The nose is intensely fruity with notes of ripe cherry, raspberry, and blackcurrant, underpinned by subtle violet and spice. On the palate, it is delicately sweet yet fresh, with good, balanced acidity and a light tannic structure that maintains a refreshing, harmonious, and immediate appeal. Following classic red winemaking, the bubbles are achieved via a secondary fermentation in pressurized steel tanks (Charmat method) to preserve the grape's primary fruit aromas and bright, lively character.

Paltrinieri is a historically significant, family-run winery located in the heart of the Lambrusco di Sorbara DOC, just north of Modena in Emilia-Romagna, Italy. Established by Achille Paltrinieri in 1926, the estate is now managed by the fourth generation, Alberto Paltrinieri and his wife Barbara, who are widely regarded as a benchmark producer for high-quality, dry Lambrusco. Paltrinieri focuses primarily on the indigenous Lambrusco di Sorbara grape, a variety known for its distinctive light, pinkish-red color, bright acidity, and delicate floral and red fruit notes, which contrast with the darker, heavier style of other Lambrusco types. Their 17 hectares of vineyards are situated in the prized "Cristo di Sorbara" subzone, a narrow strip of sandy and silty soil between the Secchia and Panaro rivers. The winery’s philosophy blends tradition with modern precision, emphasizing *lutte raisonnée* (sustainable) farming and favoring both the Charmat (Martinotti) method and the traditional *Metodo Ancestrale* (bottle re-fermentation with native yeasts and no disgorgement) for their sparkling wines, such as the acclaimed *Radice* and *Leclisse* bottlings, to produce elegant, complex, and intensely dry expressions of this noble grape.
