This iconic red wine is a pure varietal expression of sangiovese sourced from the estate's oldest north-northeast-facing plots in Radda. The vines grow in rocky galestro and limestone soils at high elevations, where cool nights preserve crucial structural tension. Following a spontaneous fermentation in concrete vats, the juice undergoes an intentional two-year élevage in the cellar. The liquid moves from French oak barriques into large neutral Slavonian casks to allow the fruit to breathe.

It displays a deep garnet hue, releasing layered aromas of sour cherry, dried rose petals, and bergamot. On the palate, the full-bodied frame balances a generous core of plum and licorice with firm, chalky tannins. A distinct vertical lift of mineral acidity slices through the fruit weight, keeping the structure vibrant. Savory layers of cedar and tobacco leaf develop beautifully across the textured mouthfeel. It finishes long, leaving a trail of black pepper and crushed earth.
