This red wine is crafted by natural wine icon Jean-Louis Dutraive from ancient Gamay bush vines within the Brouilly appellation. The estate manages the single-vineyard plots under certified organic viticulture protocols to protect the delicate soil structure. The hand-harvested fruit undergoes a traditional whole-cluster carbonic maceration driven entirely by native wild yeasts in neutral concrete vats. The wine ages in seasoned French oak casks and is bottled with a minimal sulfur addition prior to release.

It pours a translucent ruby color, opening with fragrant aromas of fresh raspberry, red currant, and dried purple flowers. On the palate, the light-to-medium body is remarkably fluid and precise, balancing crunchy red fruit with a chiseled mineral baseline. Taut, fine-grained tannins provide a subtle structural grip across the mid-palate without feeling heavy. A clean wave of mountain acidity cuts through the texture, maintaining great freshness. It finishes completely bone-dry, leaving a light, savory trail.
