From Phelan's cool Cambria site, the Envinate team helps interpret California fruit with the same sensitivity they bring to Tenerife, Ribeira Sacra and Almansa. The resulting wines are less about a transatlantic novelty than a shared language of place: whole clusters, native yeasts, lift, salt and a refusal to over-explain the vineyard.
