Arcuri Ciro Aris Gaglioppo 2020

Sergio Arcuri is a small Calabrian producer working in Ciro, one of southern Italy's most historically important but often underestimated wine zones. The Arcuri family farms Gaglioppo and local white varieties close to the Ionian Sea, with old vines, organic methods and a direct connection to the region's ancient viticultural past. In the cellar the approach is traditional and unfussy, using native yeasts and minimal intervention to let the grape's firm tannin, sour cherry, herbs and iron-like minerality come through. The wines are honest, sunlit and savory, showing Calabria as a place of structure and culture rather than rustic anonymity.
