Mongarda Glera Fermo Colli Trevigiani 2021
MongardaGrape: Glera Bianchetta Boschera
Vintage: 2021
Type: White
The Mongarda Glera Fermo 2023 is a still, dry interpretation of Glera, displaying a light straw color and an aromatic profile of white flowers, crisp green apple, pear skin, and subtle herbaceous and mineral undertones. The palate is bone dry and exceptionally fresh, structured by a vibrant acidity and a light-to-medium body, culminating in a clean, linear, and lightly savory finish. Sourced from old, organically-farmed vines on the steep slopes of the Colli Trevigiani, this wine is made from Glera with small amounts of indigenous varieties; it undergoes spontaneous fermentation and is aged for about eight months in concrete tanks on its lees to develop texture and complexity. It is bottled unfined and unfiltered with very low added sulfur, deliberately bypassing the second fermentation typical of Prosecco to highlight the grape’s still character.
