The Quintodecimo Jaune d'Arles Greco di Tufo DOCG 2024 is a profound and intensely mineral expression of Irpinia's unique volcanic terroir. The wine presents a luminous golden-straw color, living up to its name (Jaune d'Arles, or Arles Yellow), and offers a complex bouquet of ripe apricot, peach, and quince layered with distinctive notes of flint, white pepper, and smoky minerals. On the palate, it is full-bodied and powerful, with a rich, textural mouthfeel perfectly framed by firm, refreshing acidity and a persistent, savory, saline finish that promises excellent longevity. This single-vineyard "cru" wine is a rigorous interpretation of Greco di Tufo, with vinification emphasizing depth and structure. After a long, gentle pressing of hand-harvested grapes, the juice is fermented in both temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks (70%) and new French oak barrels (30%). The wine then undergoes an extended eight-month aging period on its fine lees, with periodic stirring (bâtonnage), which enriches the body and complexity, giving the wine a structure often likened to that of a white wine with the soul of a red.
